Low Voltage MCB & RCCB
The low voltage MCCB/MCBs shall comply with the following requirements:
MCCB/MCBs shall comply fully with IEC 898, 1995 or IS 8828, 1996 or BS EN 60947-2 and the case shall be of moulded insulating material of good mechanical strength and non-tracking properties.
RCCB/MCBs shall be of manual/automatic tripping operation. The automatic type shall each incorporate a trip unit to provide overload and short circuit protection.
Each RCCB/MCB shall incorporate "Trip free" mechanism to ensure that the breaker can not be held closed in fault condition.
The operating mechanism of the RCCB/MCBs shall be hermetically sealed.
RCCB/MCBs shall give positive contact indication with operating knob clearly indicating the status of the contact inside.
MCCB/MCBs shall be of Energy limitation Class 3
The rated voltage shall be 415/240V AC
The breaking capacity shall be 6kA.
The degree of protection - IP 20
The Impulse withstand voltage- 6kV
Electrical life - 10,000 operations
House Service RCCB/MCB
The house services RCCB/MCBs shall be installed on the house distribution board to protect the meter and also the distribution system from any possible fault in the house. The supplier shall include the appropriate fixing attachments of each of the RCCB/MCBs with the house distribution boards. The RCCB/MCBs shall comply with the following requirements:
